I’m a graduate student in the Student Affairs and Higher Education program at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. I work at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana as a residence hall coordinator for a building of first year students.
Currently, I’m beginning research that will examine the conflict occurring on social media sites such as Facebook.com. I became interested in this effect of social media while working as a resident assistant and I continue to deal with these conflicts in my current role. As a millennial, I’m fascinated by how social networking sites have changed communication for my generation and through my thesis, I hope to gain a broader understanding of how it is affecting the development of interpersonal relationships between students.
